This well-respected, Tax & MOT exempt 1979 Suzuki GS850G has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life.

This and the fact it's only showing 23007 miles and has been in dry storage for a considerable time have helped maintain some of its boyish good looks.

We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.

As you can see this bike has got a few bits missing, a few bits damaged/broken, a few bits rusty/corroded, a few bits non-standard & a few bits are very nice indeed.

The wheels look straight with clean alloy.

Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome.

Front mudguard is solid but lightly pitted.

Headlight & hangers look ok.

Instruments look good.

Carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.

The engine is cosmetically quite clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression.

We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.

Larger bikes or destinations in Scotland, Cornwall or within the M25 area will cost more.
