This well-respected, tax and MOT exempt, 1979 Yamaha XS400 has recently been imported from North America where its spent all its life.
As you can see its missing its RH mirror. There is a small dent in the LH side of the tank, the front mudguard is split and dented, there is a small tear in the seat cover, a small chunk missing from the headlight bowl and rim rim is scraped.
The wheels looks traight with nice clean alloy
Forks look straight with bright chrome
Instruments look ok and switches move freely
Chainguard is straight but there are a few rust specs
The tank has a bit of dirt inside but feels solid underneath
The paintwork is quite bright but there are a few use marks as to be expected.
When we hooked it up to a booster battery we had it firing/running on easystart spray but the carb and fuel system will require some attention.
